At Wild Tonic, we’re committed to brewing the most delicious jun kombucha possible. But our goal isn’t just to nourish our customers’ bodies. We consider it our responsibility to do our part for the environment, too. That means minimizing our company’s consumption of resources and doing what we can to give back to the place we call home.

Wild Tonic: Jun For All! 

Does drinking Wild Tonic jun kombucha make you happy? That’s great news! Making our customers happy is one of the things we strive for every day.

If you’ve sampled our jun kombucha, then you already know it’s a beverage unlike any other. 

Jun kombucha employs honey rather than the sugar in traditional kombucha to aid in the fermenting process. Honey is one of nature’s miracles: it contains amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It may also be able to fight free radicals and promote overall health. 

Honey also allows our finished product to retain both prebiotics and probiotics — as opposed to traditional kombucha, which only contains probiotics. Plus, the overall flavor is extremely mellow — many customers find that it’s much less acidic than traditional sometimes-acidic traditional kombucha.

Ethically and Responsibly Sourced Ingredients 

At Wild Tonic, we believe that the best possible ingredients make the best possible finished product. But we don’t just base our sourcing selections based on taste alone. We also seek to find vendors that have ethical, responsible, and sustainable operations. For instance…

  • Our herbs, botanicals, and juices are all organically sourced. Not only does this help avoid harmful ingredients, but we also find that organic products tend to taste better! 
  • Our tea is all organic, as well as ethically and sustainably sourced.

Ingredients matter! We want to show our customers, vendors, and the world respect. 

Committed to Bee Conservation 

Our founder, Holly Lyman, has a sustainable vision for Wild Tonic.

Part of this goal is realized through responsible sourcing of ingredients and supporting organic farmers. 

But Wild Tonic also does its part to help support the bee population by partnering with beekeeping associations. 

Bees are incredible — their hard work at pollinating means that we humans have greater access to things like avocado, chocolate, coffee, and so much more. 

However, the population is declining. That’s why Wild Tonic has taken proactive effort to be part of bee conservation. We want the bees to adapt and thrive to reduce the risk of colony collapse and overdomestication.

To that end, we’ve been working with the Northern Arizona Organic Beekeepers Association (NAOBA) for years to further their mission. 

Wild Tonic provided support to NAOBA when they became an official non-profit (501 C-3) a few years ago. We love what they do and look forward to helping the bees thrive in the future.

Earth-Friendly Company Practices 

Details matter. As much as our sourcing and commitment to the bees can help support the environment, we’re also big believers in sustainable daily practices.

Here are some of the earth-friendly practices we maintain at our company: 

Efficient, Streamlined Facilities: Our state-of-the-art facilities use tech to monitor and maximize energy usage. We want to reduce potential waste in any and every way possible!

Recycling and Composting: Food and material waste are potentially big problems for companies in the food and beverage sector. Here’s how we try to minimize environmental impact:

  • We compost our flowers, fruit, herbs, and teas. 
  • We recycle cans, cardboard, metal, paper products, and plastic.
  • We have systems in place to reduce water consumption.
  • Our blue bottles are reusable and recyclable. 
  • Our sample cups for demos/events are compostable. 
  • We use earth-friendly, biodegradable, non-toxic cleaning products.

Our commitment to the environment …
